I've been trying to work with various topic modeling tools for an embarrassingly long amount of time today, and I'm not sure if I've done anything remotely resembling a topic model, but here is a screen cap of my results:

I downloaded the originally suggested topic modeling tool from David Mimno, replacing the content of the given .txt file with the content of my Interpretation of Dreams .txt file, trying to run as many iterations as my old computer could handle.  The next few (interesting) topics were as follows:

I see some topics that center around gender/gendered pronouns (topics 2 and 8), some interesting correlation between "myself" and "patients" (topic 12), and at least one topic that reads like a Wallace Stevens poem (topic 11 and "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird," specifically).  These gender-related topics might be interesting in terms of Freud's treatment of male vs female patients and illnesses; and the "myself" and "patients" link might indicate how much Freud as analyst appears in the work (though "myself" could come from first-person patient narratives).  My list of topics includes some that feature stray French words, some associated with "his" or "her," and some more that look like lines of modern poetry.
